"Las sedes de Metro. Un recorrido por el desarrollo urbano de Madrid"

The history of the Madrid Metro spans more than a century, from its first stations to the current network, and is made up of multiple parallel narratives that intertwine and are essential to its existence. Among these, the evolution of the company’s headquarters stands out; their transformation offers a different and fascinating perspective on the development of the metro system, through the buildings used for its management and administration.

This publication presents a historiographical study of these headquarters over time, with the aim of preserving and disseminating their historical legacy. These spaces reflect the city’s evolution and the way architecture has adapted to the administrative, design and operational needs of the new metropolitan railway.
